Mom’s sausage & Rice Casserole
This is a wonderful yet simple recipe that we always took to every school pot luck dinner.. there were NEVER any leftovers!
1 1lb roll of sausage
½ C. chopped onion
½ chopped celery or some celery salt
2 envelopes Lipto0n cream of chicken soup mix
4 ¼ C boiling water
1 C raw rice (NOT MINUTE)
1/3 C parmesan cheese
Brown sausage & onions & celery.
Put all ingredients except cheese in a 9 x 13” pan.
Bake for 1/2hr @ 350 degrees.
Add cheese & bake 15 min longer or until rice is done.
Cooks well in a crock pot but you may have to add more water.
