Quilts
Quilt #1.
July 6th 2006

I used all of our old blue jeans.
I am letting the seams fray for a more "ragged" look.

I love it because there is a story in every square.

I found great bandana looking fabric for the back.

I think it turned out great for my first quilt ever. :)
I Have recently decided I wanted
to venture into quilt making....
Here are my quilts..
lets see how they progress.
Quilt #2
Sept 1st 2006

This is the quilt I made
for Brooke.

I like the idea of recycling fabrics, so I used all the receiving blankets that we used when she was just a tiny baby.

I backed it w/ a schmooshy soft pink fleece fabric.
Quilt #3
Sept 9th 2006

Chris turned 14 this month.
It was his turn for a quilt.
He did NOT want it to look too "quilty" he wanted a
manly-man quilt...
He loves all things Camo...
So here is his black and Camo quilt.  I made it twin sized, backed w/ black.   By special request,
it even has a "secret" pocket.

Quilt #4
Oct 1st 2006

Craig's turn for a quilt.
Craig is the fisherman of the house.
So this was the quilt for him.
The lighter fabric is covered with fish, bobbers, and fishing lures.
He LOVES it.
Quilt #5
(12/4/2007)

This is Bryans Quilt
He wanted a Red White & Blue quilt.
So, thats what he got!
This quilt took a little longer than planned because I messed it up and had to rip it apart and start over...
That was fun! NOT!

The dark blue squares have stars on them and it is backed in a navy blue fabric.
He loves it!
Quilt #6
2/20/2008
This quilt was made for sweet Ben.
Half of the flannel squares were from a fall flannel fabric swap from HomesteadingToday.com.
The warm Fall colors are perfect for a
manly-man boy.

I love the rag-style frayed edges of this quilt.
But more importantly.. He loves it!!

oh...
By the way...
I made this quilt in 25 1/2 hours start to finish!  not bad!
Quilt #7 will be for my
Spoiled-Rotten Sister Bethany.
It's gonna be a T-Shirt Quilt
made out of her old favorite
T-Shirts..
Oh My.!
Wish me luck!
